Uniquely Curious Art by Melissa Hasley logo

No two pieces will ever be alike.

Each piece of art is created using the natural grain of the wood as a guide.
Characters are created based on what I see in the wood grain.

Who am I, how'd I get here...

Do you suffer from Pareidolia?  I do...I see faces in things.  It all started when I was doing yoga, laying on my back, staring up at the rafters in the garage where there were some pieces of wood.  The more I stared at them, the more I saw faces.  One day I decides to paint what I saw.  Then I decided this was fun...so here we are.

Pareidolia is the imagined perception of a pattern or meaning where it does not actually exist, as in considering the moon to have human features. (dictionary.com)
